Middels chiptuning van de auto word de werking van de motor geoptimaliseerd. De standaard fabrieksafstelling word verfijnt naar de klant zijn specifieke wens. Bij turbo motoren veranderen wij onder anderen de volgende instellingen: brandstof hoeveelheid inspuiting, het moment van inspuiten, het moment van ontsteken, de turbodruk, rail-druk en diverse softwarematige begrenzingen.
Daarnaast zijn veel motoren ge-downgrade in de software. Deze “begrenzing” halen we in dat geval dan ook weg.

De Z4 is een tweezits achterwielaangedreven roadster van BMW. In 1989 werd de Z-traditie gestart met de Z1 waarvan in twee jaar tijd 8.000 exemplaren werden gebouwd. In 1996 introduceerde BMW de Z3 roadster, waarvan later ook een Coupé-variant zou verschijnen. De Z3 werd in 2002 afgelost door de Z4 (E85). In 2006 verscheen naast de Roadster opnieuw een Coupé. In hetzelfde jaar werd het gamma ook uitgebreid met de Z4 M Roadster en Z4 M Coupé met een 3,2-liter zesinlijn met 343 pk. In 2009 gooide BMW het over een andere boeg. De Roadster (E89) beschikt over een elektrisch hardtop vouwdak. De Z4 is er uitsluitend met benzinemotoren in vermogen variërend van 184 pk tot 340 pk.
